Bagan People - Myanmar people

Bagan people, Myanmar people

- Bagan people are

ethnically speaking very diverse a melting pot of the 130 ethnicities in the country and people from the neighboring countries who came to the city over the last approximately 2000 years since Bagan has been a important and big place in the past, a capital  with dozens dynasties and kings over time. Only today it's a rather quiet, tourism oriented place.

- Burmese people

of today most came in from China and during and after colonial times from India and today Pakistan. Also from Thailand often just taken away by the militaries after raids into the neighboring countries. People from south Asia started to come into the country during British colonial times, although there was a coming and going long before because of interactions related to Buddhism, that was on a rather low scale.
